The Chatham Daily News
The Chatham Daily News has its origins in the Chatham Banner, which started in 1865 with John R Gemmill, the son of the owner of the Sarnia Observer. In 1900, the Banner became the Banner-News, and one year later, the Chatham Daily News. It absorbed the Chatham Planet in 1922 and continues to be published.
