First mayor of the town of Sandwich in 1858. He was born c. 1810 and died in 1886. "Mr. Boismier was a captain and served through the rebellion of 1837-8 under Col. Prince; was tax collector for the original township of Sandwich. He has also held the office of fishery overseer for third district and from the year 1872 to the time of his death was a member of the Board of Education of the Town of Sandwich, and for most of that period of fourteen years he held the position of chairman."
