Notes: Postmarked 1916; "The Detroit American League Club Home is located at Trumbull and Michigan Avenue and covers and entire block. To reach Park take Trumbull or Michigan Cars going west"; Jack Madden (author of the postcard) tells his father that he saw Ty Cobb play in a baseball game there; addressed to Mr. Ben Madden. Navin Park, aka Navin Field, opened in 1912. It was renamed Briggs Stadium in 1938, and then Tiger Stadium in 1961. |
