Notes: c. 1940; aerial view; the Ford Rotunda, Administration Building and the Rouge Plant on Schaefer Road in Dearborn, Michigan; the Ford River Rouge Complex was designed by Albert Kahn and constructed between 1917 and 1928; the rotunda was designed by Albert Kahn for the 1934 World Fair in Chicago. Afterwards, it was moved to Dearborn and redesigned; it was destroyed by fire in 1962; "A huge revolving globe in the center of the rotunda, having only the sky for a roof, depicts with colored and shaded markings, the various Ford interests. Facing it is the Administration Building; in the background the Rouge Plant. Located on Schaeffer Highway." |
