Notes: c. 1960; Chatham, Ontario, in agriculturally rich Kent County, is the centre of the sugar beet industry in Eastern Canada. Thousands of tons of beets almost hide Canada and Dominion Sugar Company's factory each fall at harvest. White concrete silos beyond the factory store up to thirty million pounds of refined sugar in bulk (from back of postcard).
