Notes: Postmarked 1906; the postcard is addressed to Mrs. Edith Ledwich; the Boer War Monument was located in front of the post office (southwest corner of Ouellette Avenue and Pitt Street). It was designed by the sculptor Walter Allard and was dedicated on Victoria Day, May 24th, 1906. Later, it was moved to Jackson Park; looks west along Pitt Street: People's Furniture Company (3 and 5 Pitt Street West) and Harvey, P. And Company, Butchers (17 Pitt Street West) are visible.
