Notes: Postmarked 1909; the St. Clair Tunnel consists of 2 tunnels that run under the St. Clair River between Sarnia, Ontario and Port Huron, Michigan; Canadian side; it was the first underwater tunnel built in North America; designed by Joseph Hobson, it was opened in 1891 by the St. Clair Tunnel Company, a subsidiary of the Grand Trunk Railway; the tunnel was 6,025 feet (1,836 m) long; the postcard is addressed to Mr. Tom Cavene.
