Notes: Reproduction; view from St. Anne's Church Steeple, 1920. From the private postcard of Jos. B. Renaud. Looking west on Tecumseh Rd: 1. Paris Hotel, owned by the Laramies. Original structure was demolished and new building was erected on immediate area; now Pat & Hanks Fish 'n Chips. 2. Post office, (run by Joe Labute) now Vimich Traffic Logistics. 3. Parent Bros. General Store. Burnt in 1928 and was rebuilt. Reopened by the Parent Bros. as the Canadian Hotel, presently Kingers. 4. Pratt's Hardware, later sold to E.J. Drouillard and continued as hardware; now Advance Rejuvenation Spa. 5. Home of Maurice Renaud (brother of J.B. Renaud), later residence of Sen. Dr. Gustave Lacasse. The home continues to be occupied by the family of his son Hector, former mayor of Tecumseh. 6. A hotel, since demolished, now site of Legends Diner, parking lot and Riverside Rentals (from back of postcard, issued 2001). |
