Notes: Elie P. Diesbourg, a water sander, from Belle River (or South Woodslee) was laid off from Ford Motor Company of Canada on November 22nd, 1946. The layoff was due to work shortage. The layoff is still overseen by the National Selective Service, which was a form of labour/employment control introduced in 1942, during World War II. |
