Notes: c. 1915; in uniform; later, during the 1920s, Blaise Diesbourg was known as "King Canada"; he smuggled alcohol over to Detroit during prohibition, using boats, cars, and aeroplanes; he was originally from Pike Creek; he worked firstly at his brother Charlie's hotel (the Wellington Hotel) in Belle River; later he had his own hotel, the Omar Hotel, in Stoney Point. |
