Notes: c. 1919; View looks north along Ouellette Avenue from just south of Sandwich Street (now Riverside Drive). The Merchants Bank is located on the northwest corner of Sandwich Street and Ouellette Avenue. The Dominion Bank (built in 1909) is visible on the southwest corner. The British American Hotel is located on the northeast corner and the Canadian Bank of Commerce is visible on the southeast corner, with drug and cigar/tobacco stores just south of that. The Ferry Dock is visible at the north end of Ouellette Avenue. The postcard is addressed to Mrs. Jas. Walsh. |
