Copyright 1905 by the Detroit Photographic Company; shows the Landsdowne car ferry crossing the Detroit River in Winter; the Lansdowne car ferry was built in 1884 by the Detroit Dry Dock Company and used to transport railway cars across the Detroit River; passengers from the train cars could often be seen enjoying the views from the upper deck of the ferry.
