Notes: C. 1937; the Canada Building is located at 364-374 Ouellette Avenue, on the east side of Ouellette Avenue between University Avenue (previously London Street) and Park Street; it is a 14 storey Art Deco office tower erected by the Border Cities' Star in 1928 as a store and office building; the Prince Edward Hotel was located on the northeast corner of Ouellette Avenue and Park Street; it was designed by the Buffalo architects, Esenwein And Johnson, with Albert McPhail, as associate architect; it contained 250 rooms and was operated by the United Hotels Company; it opened in 1922, closed in 1967, and was demolished in 1976. |
