Notes: c. 1923; aerial view; the Prince Edward Hotel opened in 1922; Looking south along Ouellette Avenue near Park Street; the second St. Mary's Academy is at the bottom left (southeast corner of Ouellette Avenue and Park Street). It was torn down in 1929 to make way for the Windsor-Detroit Tunnel Plaza. It was run by the Sisters Of The Holy Names Of Jesus And Mary; in the top left corner: the northwest section of the large building complex was the I.O.O.F. Temple at 18 Wyandotte Street East (northeast corner of Wyandotte Street and Dufferin Place); most of the rest of the building was a garage and automotive repair business; Central Methodist Church (now called Central United Church) is also just visible on the east side of Ouellette Avenue, just south of Wyandotte Street |
