Stamped August 3 1948; however the parade would have taken place on Sunday, August 1st.; photo is looking north. The Emancipation Celebration parade is reaching the corner of Ouellette Avenue and Tecumseh Road (near entrance to Jackson Park). The Emancipation Celebrations were organized by Walter Perry and the British-American Association of Coloured Brothers (later the Canadian-American Association of Black Brothers of Ontario).
