Notes:
c. 1950; aerial view; "Briggs Stadium, home of the Detroit Tigers during the baseball season and the Detroit Lions during the professional football season, is one of the largest sporting plants in the United States. It has a seating capacity of nearly 60,000 for baseball and football and 85,000 for boxing. It is the second largest ball park in the Big Leagues. This picture was taken by the Detroit News from its airplane. The airview in itself is unusual because it shows the tall buildings of Detroit in the background, with the Detroit River and a part of Windsor, Ont., Canada in the upper part of the picture."
