c. 1965; "Dynamic Detroit from Windsor, Ontario across the Detroit River, the world's busiest waterway. The S.S. South American, Great Lakes cruise ship, at right, visits the Port of Detroit every Friday and Sunday during the regular sailing season." The S.S. South American was built in 1913/14 and launched in 1914; it burned and was rebuilt in 1924, and was retired from service in 1967.
