C. 1908; postmarked 1921; a section of the Detroit River Tunnel being towed down the St. Clair River; the Detroit River railway tunnel was built by the Detroit River Tunnel Company and took four years to build. Work on the tunnel began in early October of 1906 and was finally completed July 1, 1910; the tunnel was completed in sections on land before being submerged under the Detroit River; addressed to Mrs. H. Phillips.
