Notes: 
The Canadian Dredge And Dock Company is dredging and building retaining walls just west of Ouellette Avenue and the old Ferry Landing building. On the right, the back of the British American Hotel (northeast corner of Sandwich Street East and Ouellette Avenue) can be seen. On March 2nd, 1955, a worker, Stanley C. Smith of Nova Scotia, was killed when he was knocked from a crane on-site.
