Notes:
c. 1910; the Horticultural Building and Aquarium on Belle Isle, Michigan were designed by Albert Kahn, built 1902-1904, and opened August 18, 1904; the basement of the Aquarium functioned as a speakeasy during Prohibition; now called the Anna Scripps Whitcomb Conservatory or the Belle Isle Conservatory, the Horticultural Building still stands; the Aquarium closed in 2005 but reopened in 2012; photograph stuck on back seems unrelated.
