c. 1910; designed by Albert Kahn and built 1902-1904, the Horticultural Building opened August 18, 1904; made of stone, metal and glass, it housed a variety of rare plants and flowers; now call the Anna Scripps Whitcomb Conservatory, or the Belle Isle Conservatory, the building still stands.
