c. 1950; "The Detroit-Windsor Tunnel opened for traffic November 3, 1930 and extends from Detroit, Michigan to Windsor, Ontario, Canada, under the Detroit River. Plazas are located in the central business districts of both cities. The tunnel is one mile long, is lighted by 574 light boxes, is open twenty-four hours per day, and there is a continuous services of Tunnel buses."
