Notes: Dated May 5, 1965; "Here is the SS John Kendall, world's largest and fastest fireboat which protects ships and shoreline property in the Detroit area. The Kendall's "guns" can throw 15,000 gallons of water per minute on a blaze. An icebreaker, tug and rescue ship as well as a firefighter, the Kendall has never been stopped by ice, snow, rain, sleet or fog." (from back of postcard)
