Postmarked 1960; "This is an aerial view of one of the industrially zoned areas in Sandwich East Township with Windsor and Detroit in the background. This area is developing rapidly and is presently occupied by 5 companies. Services include sewers, electricity, water, natural gas, paved roads, and the C.P.R. and C.N.R. are adjacent. This property is only minutes from the airport and downtown Windsor and is near several major highways." The postcard was used by the Greater Windsor Industrial Commission to encourage interest in the area. This particular postcard was sent to F. W. Freel, the president of the Servall Truck And Tractor Equipment Company in Windsor. In the background, looking north, the Ford Test Track can be seen. Running north-south to the west of the track is Drouillard Road, and to the east, Central Avenue. Tecumseh Road East runs east-west in the background, then Somme Avenue. Grand Marais Road East cuts the bottom-right corner.
