c. 1922; addressed to Miss Rose Valliere from Mardio Valliere; located on the eastern side of the island; it was erected in 1909 as a tribute to Great Lakes sailors; the anchor was taken from the first “The City of Cleveland” after its sinking. The monument was designed, built and installed by employees of the Detroit, Belle Isle and Windsor Ferry.
